What a day !!! and what a ride !!!
when i was about to get ready to leave Tg Bungah this morning for G Hotel to meet up with riders, it started to rain !!! some sms exchanged between me, Lee, Sifu, Kenny and Mike. trying to figure out what to do.
as always, the rain tried to spoil another good riding sunday. but we (me, Lee, Sifu and nephew) are pretty determined and decided to drive down to G Hotel to check out. As it turn out, there were about 10+ riders ready for "action" despite the rain.
So arrangement were make for us to go back to Tg Bungah to collect our bikes and join the group at Asas Dunia Building in front of Tg Bungah Market. Sifu helped a rider with punctured tire there but he had to "pull out" with his friend when he suffered another puncture before reaching Bt Ferringhi.
It was the usual G Club Bahang Ride where Mike n Turbosnail joined us in front of the floating mosque but was "extended" due to request !!!
request no. 1 : after the usual T Bahang kopitiam break (hokkien mee and drink), we decided to head up to Tropical Fruit Farm except for some who decided to head back.
request no. 2 : while taking our break at TFF, there was a call to go all the way to Pantai Aceh and almost all joined in.
request no. 3 : after Pantai Aceh break (a bottle of 100Plus & a bowl of Wan Tan Mee), Teh suggested we head up to AID from Balik Pulau with a brief rest at HILTON !!!
that was where we ended !!!
total distance recorded : 65km !!! and reached home 3+pm
my salute to Jason, Chia, Stingray, Mike.... you all made it all the way without a scratch !!! I hope we didn't scare you with the distance and climb...i am no btter also, believe me !!! half dead when reach home.
what almost turn out to be a cancelled bahang ride due to rain, end up all the way to Pantai Aceh, Hilton and Air Itam Dam !!!
Shall we do it again ????
oh ya, Turbo did a solo to P. Aceh when we had our break at TFF.

I started late as it was raining in the morning. I couldn't find anyone resembling a cyclist in front of G hotel so I did a solo ride without stopping hoping that I will be able to me up with you guys at Tlk Bahang. Since I also did not see you guys there either, I decided to continue hoping to meet up at Tropical Fruit Farm. No one there either. So, I did a solo all the way to Balik Pulau and stop for a long rest. I guess that was when you guys were on the way to Air Itam Dam. Really had a nice time riding but not as good as when I can ride together with you guys.
This is my first time group cycling with gclub Rider too. i really enjoy d trip. i learn a lot from d trip. Thx guys. i looking forward the next ride. Once again, your guys ROCK!!! and we're ROCK!!!

i am so happy to see so many positive feedback from last sunday's ride. proud of you.
G Club riders not only rock, we also have a lot of food, drinks and laughter along the way !! it makes you wonder how you managed to finish the whole trip.
i think we had somehow achieved what we set out to do when we started this riding group. cycle, eat, drink, look for new route and most important of all, make new friends.
it does not matter what bicycle you are riding, as long as it has got 2 wheels and you have to pedal to move forward, you are in !!! we will wait for you if you are slow. we will encourage you when you are about to give up and we will ask you to come back again for another ride if you are game.
my hope is, to get more people to ride... the bigger the group the better. new ideas, new route welcomed. just make sure it is suitable for all....
go tell your friends about G Club. bring them along when you come for your next ride. watch out for the next ride on the event board.

This is my first time riding with g-club riders. Even though we are really tired during the ride but with lots of humor from the g-club riders especially captain, sifu & teng which make this challeging rides enjoyable and fun. I'm looking forward the next rides...

would like to share some photo taken frm my hubby. This is my first time for this long distance. I start to feel the strech/pain on my leg when we start on frm P.Aceh to Balik Pulau town. Luckly I dont try my limit to the Air Itam Dam maybe I will knockout there . However only feel pain on my shoulder this morning.

What a ride!!! I am aching all over right now as I'm typing this message. But I feel really good about it :)
Looking forward to the next ride. Maybe next time we could go for a round island ride without the air itam dam part. I almost fainted on the hill! Meanwhile, have to train my stamina by climbing Pearl Hill first.
Overall, very good ride...
round island ??? no problem. it can be arranged.
if you are able to finish the whole ride last sunday, round island will be "a walk in the park" for you. just make sure you are well padded at 'you know where' part !!!
get Lee to bring you 'shopping' for the right pants !!!

Well done Jason! Dont worry the pain will go away soon, as the saying goes, no pain no gain. I am really impressed with you considering this is your first time out with us. I must rate last Sunday's ride as one of the toughest of all our rides, and amazingly you came out unscattered.
